Hola! Do you want to learn Catalan?

Catalan is the language spoken in Barcelona and in Catalonia, the language of Gaudí’s Sagrada Família and modernist architecture, the language of the best football club in the world, the snowy mountains of the Pyrenees and the “Castellers” or human towers. It is also the language of Dalí’s and Miró’s art, of today’s most acclaimed cookers, the beautiful beaches of La Costa Brava and the “pa amb tomàquet”.

Catalan is a Romance language spoken by 10 million people in four different states of Europe: Spain, France, Andorra and Italy. First attested in the 8th Century, Catalan suffered a strong repression at the hands of more dominant cultures. Today it stands as a vibrant language, cornerstone of Catalan culture and its people.
