We are already in the month of June and Saint John is upon us, the shortest night of the year in Catalonia. Night of bonfires and firecrackers, a warm and festive night which welcomes the Catalan summer.
Here in Melbourne we have prepared a very special get together. This year, we celebrate Saint John at the Robert Burns Hotel, where we will be offered authentic Catalan cuisine (including a ‘cremat”!) which we hope will make us feel right at home.
The event includes “coca” (catalan cake), hot chocolate, snacks, a glass of “cava” along with some other surprise. On the other hand, everyone must pay for their own drinks at the bar.
