The year 2014 will mark the 300th anniversary of the events of 11 September 1714. For that reason, the Catalan Centre of Victoria wants to celebrate this Catalan National Day with a little exhibition about 1714 and about our language. The celebration will include music, Catalan food and a special activity for the little ones . Finally, we will screen some videos of the Catalan V in Melbourne and of the Diada in Catalonia.
We have chosen a special venue for the event, the Drill Hall of the Multicultural Hub in the city, close to Queen Victoria Market.You will receive more details very soon, in the meantime please save the date and share the event with your relatives and friends.

11 September 1714 symbolises the fight by the Barcelonians and the entire Catalan people to defend a legal system and a fabric of individual, institutional and political freedoms against the arbitrary behaviour of absolute monarchy.
